Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester Meet New York Rangers

The New York Rangers visited The Boys and Girls Club members of Northern Westchester to teach them about teamwork, commitment, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Members of the New York Rangers visited The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester as part of its Youth Hockey program designed to encourage teamwork, inspire commitment and promote a healthy lifestyle.

The New York Rangers visited the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester as part of its Youth Street Hockey Program to teach members the fundamentals of hockey and provided tips on how to lead a healthy lifestyle.

The Club is one of more than 50 centers, including New York City Parks & Recreation centers and YMCA’s, who are part of the newly expanded “New York Rangers Youth Street Hockey Program presented by Live Positively, Coca-Cola.”

In its third season, the free program provides indoor youth hockey instruction for more than 2,500 youth.

The clinic focused on introducing members to the sport of hockey and teaching them the importance of exercising. Instruction focused on individual skills, team participation, and fundamentals of the game such as passing, shooting and stick handling.
