‘School Of Rock-The Musical’ to Hold Open Call Audition in NYC

Ever dream of being a performer on Broadway? School of Rock-The Musical is holding a massive open call audition for child performers this February in New York City. Get ready to rock out!  

Calling all pint-sized rockers! School of Rock –The Musical is holding an open casting call in New York City on Friday, Feb. 26. Here is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the team of the most famous kid-band ever.

This open call will run between 10am-12pm, with sign-in beginning at 9am. It is for kids ages 9-12 of all ethnicities under 5’ tall, and who play an instrument. They are exclusively looking for girls who play bass, and boys who play guitar, piano, and drums. Bring a headshot and a resume, and be ready to rock.

Don’t live in NYC? School of Rock – The Musical is offering an online contest for hopefuls to win a trip to New York City with a guaranteed audition slot and tickets to see the show. Every participant is required to submit a 1-2 minute video of themselves singing any pop or rock song, and an additional optional video performing the song “Teacher’s Pet” from School of Rock on an instrument. Up to five videos per participant may be submitted. The creative team will pick the lucky winners for the grand prize, and three additional kids will win a scholarship to The School of Rock-a three-month rock star training boot camp with an end-of-season performance. The deadline to enter is Wednesday, Feb. 15, and winners will be announced that Friday, Feb. 19.
