Ice Skating at Rockefeller Center 2015 Season Info

The Rink at Rockefeller Center opens its ice to the public on Tuesday, October 13. Read on to find out about opening day activities, the 2015 season schedule, and fun extras that Rockefeller Center has in store for visitors this winter.

To celebrate the 2015 season opening, Rockefeller Center is pulling out all the stops for its iconic ice skating rink on Tuesday, October 13.

America’s Olympic sweethearts, Ice Dancing Gold Medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White will take to the ice for a performance at 10am, followed by a  ceremonial program emceed by NYC & Company President and CEO Fred Dixon. The first public skate of the season will include local youth from the Ice Theatre of New York and Figure Skating in Harlem.

The 2015 season at the Rink at Rockefeller Center will also feature new activities for visitors. The “Starlight Skate,” for the late-night crowd is a 10:30pm-midnight skate session that can easily be booked online. Back by popular demand, the VIP Igloo returns to bring visitors skate concierge service and wintery refreshments. 

The rink is open daily from 8:30am-midnight, and hosts more than 150,000 skaters each year, so lace up your skates and join in on the fun!
