10 Things to Do with Kids in Tribeca

   
Tribeca or “Triangle Below Canal Street” is home to some of Manhattan’s most fun spots from restaurants to schools and stores. This downtown Manhattan neighborhood is full of family-friendly fun and good eats that you don’t want to miss!
 

Washington Market Park

Chambers Street, between Greenwich and West streets

For a relaxing day outdoors with the kids, be sure to stop by Washington Market Park. Equipped with a basketball court, a tennis court, a community garden, two playgrounds, a lawn, and a gazebo, this has all you could want in a park. The park also hosts lots of free events such as free summer concerts, movie nights, tennis clinics, and Halloween events such as the pumpkin carving contest and Halloween Parade and Party.
    

Ninja New York

25 Hudson St., between Duane and Read streets

This Japanese ninja-themed restaurant is a crowd favorite with its theatrical and exciting aura. The dining room is set up like a Japanese garden and all of the waiters are dressed as ninjas, who perform magic tricks, give out fun toys and origami, and serve it’s specialty “Ninja Art Dishes.”
    

Brooklyn Robot Foundry

72 Warren St., between West Broadway and Greenwich Street

Don’t be fooled by the name, the Brooklyn Robot Foundry has a Tribeca location and is teaching children how to build and innovate through robots. At summer sessions, kids can learn how to make 9 different kinds of robots including Dragons, Coin Flippers, and Shadow Bots. Kids can also learn how to program in more advanced classes such as Programmer Projects.
    

Boomerang Toys

119 W. Broadway, between Duane and Reade streets

If you’re going to Tribeca with your kids, making a pit stop at Boomerang Toys is a must. From kids’ favorite classics to new specialty toys, children of any age will be sure to find something they love here. Boomerang is a great spot to find toys that you haven’t seen elsewhere, but is best known for it’s wide selection of educational toys.
    

Balloon Saloon

Unwind with your kids and a suspenseful and exciting mystery book in Tribeca’s Mysterious Bookshop. This independent book shop carries every mystery book you could be looking for from Sherlock Holmes to  young adult novels like Nancy Drew and a wide selection of children’s mystery books as well.

32 N. Moore St., between Hudson and Varick streets

From instruments to kitchen sets to even solar powered toys, your kid will have the coolest most unique playset for sure. It also offers costumes and accessories for imaginative play, and a selection of beautifully illustrated books.
   

Bubby’s

120 Hudson St., between Franklin and North Moore streets

Bubby’s is a crowd favorite amongst all, especially Tribeca residents. Stop by for some delicious brunch, burgers, or one of their renowned homemade pies in flavors that vary each day. You can even treat yourself and the kids to breakfast for dinner with Bubby’s eggs, home fries, sausages, pancakes, and more.
