Tavern Concert: Irish Stout

WHEN: March 14, 6pm and 8pm
WHERE: Historic Richmond Town, 441 Clarke Ave., Staten Island
AGES: 9 and older
WHAT: Strut your Celtic a few days early for St. Patrick’s Day with Stout as they present a full program of Irish-American songs about drinking, love, immigrants, rebels, shellfish, tomfoolery, and maybe more drinking.

Let’s Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

WHEN: March 14-15 at 2:30pm; March 17 at 11:30am and 2:30pm
WHERE: Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 145 Brooklyn Ave., Crown Heights

WHAT: Explore Irish traditions, including St. Patrick’s Day. Then create a rainbow mobile to hang at home.

WHERE: Starts and ends at 15th Street and Prospect Park West, Windsor Terrace

Irish Stepping with Dawn Daniels

WHERE: Staten Island Children’s Museum, 1000 Richmond Ave., Staten Island

WHAT: Enjoy this annual St. Paddy’s tradition as Dawn and her dancers teach all the Irish stepping moves.

Annual St. Patrick’s Open Day 

WHEN: March 15, 12-4pm
WHERE: Irish Arts Center, 553 W. 51st St., Midtown Manhattan

WHAT: Every year the Irish Arts Center opens its doors on St. Patrick’s Day for free, so New Yorkers can celebrate Irish culture. This year you can learn the tin whistle and Gaelic, enjoy crafts and dancing, and top it off with some Barry’s Tea.

5th Annual Irish Arts Center Book Day 

WHEN: March 17, from 7am until the books run out
WHERE: Transit hubs across the five boroughs

WHAT: The Irish Arts Center will be handing out thousands of free books written by Irish classic and contemporary writers at transport hubs across the five boroughs. Take a walk through the pages of Joyce, Yeats, Wilde, or some of Ireland’s newest hotly tipped masters.

NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade

WHEN: March 17, 11am-5pm
WHERE: Fifth Avenue between 44th and 79th streets, Manhattan
AGES: All
WHAT: The biggest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the world marches on foot up Fifth Avenue led by the U.S. 69th Infantry Regiment. If you love marching bands and bagpipes, this is the parade for you.
