Top Tweets of the Week (July 9, 2012)

Hey there Tweeters! Isn’t it an immense relief to know, without a shade of doubt, that today is Monday?! I don’t know about anybody else, but I spent the entirety of last week feeling confused. Sure, Monday was Monday, but then Tuesday felt like Friday, and Wednesday was a weekend, and well by the time we got to Thursday I actually had no idea what was going on. I almost wrote a Top Tweets of the Week on Thursday because I obviously thought it was Monday! No I’m completely kidding, I didn’t do that, but it was a very crazy week thanks to the Fourth of July falling on a Wednesday. Luckily, I had people like John Willey to help me get a grip. On Thursday, he told me it was Thursday. And for that I will be forever grateful.

Don’t get confused now, though. Thursday was Thursday. Today is Monday. #servicey

So we have these walls in our offices. And they’re regular walls. We feel really inferior. That’s all. (No but honestly, these are beautiful–please come decorate our office!)

#SundaySupper? What about #EverydayAmazingness?

The consensus seems to be “yuck” but is it weird that I’d like to try these blue cheese chocolate truffles? Who will make them for me? Who is judging me for wanting to eat them?

You found a Mickey Mouse waffle iron on the street?! Some people have all the luck.

I’m fascinated with this no-bake craze. And if New York keeps pulling out 100 degree weather on the weekend, I’m never turning on my oven ever again, so recipes such as this one will prove to be very useful when I try to make things to feed myself.

“What if parents embraced YOLO?” asks the author of this article, in a tone that I can’t quite decipher, but definitely falls somewhere between Very Serious and Totally Kidding. Well to be honest, I want everyone to embrace it, so I guess this is a good start!

Concluding this week’s Tweet Beat with a tongue-in-cheek article about parents embracing The Motto? #YOLO
