Enter to win a family 4-pack of tickets to Halloween Harvest at Luna Park in Coney Island, happening weekends in October. The festival will include costumed characters, pumpkin painting, pumpkin carving contest, and a giant pumpkin contest.
Beginning Sept. 20 and running on weekends through Oct. 26, Luna Park in Coney Island will be hosting its Halloween Harvest event.
See some scary and not-so-scary characters roaming the grounds during Luna Park Coney Island's Halloween Harvest.
The park will be decorated to the nines with kid-friendly decorations and costumed characters, and families are invited to pick a pumpkin from Luna Park's Pumpkin Patch ($5) and paint it together as they enjoy seasonal food and beverages.
Another fun activity for families includes the Giant Pumpkin contest. Upon entering the park each weekend, visitors (ages 18 and older) will be greeted by a giant pumpkin and will have the opportunity to win $1,000 if they correctly guess its weight.
Along with nostalgic faves such as the pie eating contest on Oct. 4 and a pooch parade (dogs in costume are almost as cute as babies!) on Oct. 11, the month-long celebration includes balloon benders, entertainers, and spooky and not-so-spooky characters roaming the grounds.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, the winner of the pumpkin-weight-guessing contest will be announced and Food Network star Marc Maniac and his team from Maniac Pumpkin Carvers will carve the giant gourd into a Halloween masterpiece.
