From tapping to collecting, boiling to bottling, Teatown's naturalists will be in Warren's sugarhouse sharing facts and folklore about this sweet time of year. Pre-registration required. $7.

Bring your appetite to Teatown's tastiest annual tradition: the Pancake Brunch! Start your day off with stacks of hotcakes smothered in maple syrup, hot coffee, sausages, and more. Visit the sugarhouse to watch a demonstration of how their "liquid gold" is produced. Seating is limited. Pre-registration suggested. $15; $7 for children younger than 12. Following your brunch, enjoy a walk around Teatown Lake to digest the pancakes and look for spring migrants. FREE.
March Madness: Rent-A-Bucket
Love maple syrup? Buy a bucket of your own. Marked with your name, it will hang from one of the trees being tapped. After it's filled, the sap gets turned into syrup in the sugarhouse. Includes two tickets to the Pancake Brunch on March 18, and an eight-oz. bottle of Teatown's award-winning grade A pure maple syrup. Call to purchase a bucket for $45.

Learn how to identify and tap sugar maple trees, discover sugaring techniques used by Native Americans, pioneers, and modern-day farmers, see an evaporator in action, and finish by participating in our taste test challenge to see if you can tell the difference between maple-flavored syrup and the real thing.
The Sugar Bush Tour is a one-mile, moderate hike through field and forest to the Sugar Shack and embarks at 11am, 1pm, and 2pm. The Maple Lane Tour is suited for hikers of all levels and is a short walk from the farmhouse to the new Sugar Shack after a tour of the sugar maple stand.

Maple Sugar Festival Weekend: Saturday-Sunday, March 4-5, 11am-3pm
Learn how maple sap from trees is turned into syrup, sample the syrup, and purchase a bottle to take home. Family activities include maple-themed crafts, storytelling, face painting, tree tapping demonstrations, and hayrides. See several different maple sugaring processes, including how the Native Americans created sugar from sap using the “hot-rock method,” and then stop by the maple sugarhouse and watch how the modern evaporation technique takes place. Pancake brunch on Sunday, 11am-2pm for an additional $6 per person. Daily admission is $10; $5 members.
