Lunar New Year Celebration - David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center

Celebrate the Year of the Snake with an evening of Chinese performing arts directed by Alan Chow co-presented by the Chinese American Arts Council. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Centennial Celebration - Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central Terminal will be rededicated to mark the start of its 100th year. Visitors to this special "birthday party" will enjoy performances, celebrity appearances, photo opportunities, and the opening of the New York Transit Museum's Grand By Design multi-media installation. This popular annual event will include family friendly tours of the museum, Lunar New Year walking tours of Chinatown, and an array of drop-in arts and crafts activities throughout the day. Also on the schedule: A traditional lion dance performance at noon; an opportunity to meet author Michele Wong McSween, creator of the popular Gordon and Li Li books, at 1pm; and performances and workshops led by Chinatown's Red Silk Dancers at 3pm and 4pm.
