Ski Vermont will again offer its Fifth Grade Passport program, now in its 12th year, which enables fifth-graders to ski and ride for free at Vermont’s 18 alpine resorts and more than 30 cross country centers this winter. Participating fifth-graders gain access to up to 88 days of free skiing and riding, when accompanied by an adult purchasing a full-price lift ticket or trail pass (two children per adult). The passport is now available online ($10 processing fee), where you’ll also find coupons for free lift tickets and trail passes at Vermont ski resorts. The Fifth Grade Passport is valid from Dec. 1, 2012 through May 1, 2013, excluding select blackout dates. Proceeds from purchases of the Fifth Grade Passport will be donated to Must Be The Milk, a campaign that supports New England dairy farmers. To learn more, or to purchase the Fifth Grade Passport for your child, visit skivermont.com/FGP.
