'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change'
Broadhollow Theater at Elmont, Elmont
The awkward first dates, romping romance, meddlesome in-laws, and child-rearing miscues in this show will make parents reminisce on their own relationships, both before and after kids came into the picture. I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is an award-winning musical comedy that takes an honest—if hilarious—look at love in the suburbs.
Popovich Comedy Pet Theater
NYCB Theatre at Westbury, Westbury
Audiences will howl with delight when Popovich Comedy Pet Theater takes the stage with European-style clowns, gravity-defying juggling and balancing acts, and a talented cast of performing pets who were all recruited off the street. Pups propel scooters across the stage and double-dutch jump rope, while cats perform feats of agility and balance that surpass even feline standards. The show isn’t limited to four-legged furballs, though—some recent additions to the cast include a gaggle of geese, a basketball-playing parrot, and a couple of extremely well-trained humans.
'Martha Speaks' on Stage
Bay Street Theatre, Sag Harbor
Who wouldn’t love to know what their pets are really trying to tell them? In Martha Speaks, Helen Lorraine finds out when her dog Martha is given the power of speech after she eats a bowl of alphabet soup. The play is based on the 1992 book by Susan Meddaugh and popular animated series on PBS.

Long Island Fleece & Fiber Fair
Hallockville Museum Farm, Riverhead
We often teach our children about where their food comes from, but how about their clothes? Take them to The Long Island Fleece & Fiber Fair, where they can witness the transformation of fiber as it is shorn from the animal and eventually made into a piece of fabric. Demonstrations include sheep herding and shearing, fiber dyeing, weaving, quilting, and other crafts that show from start to finish how a garment is made. Oh yeah, and don’t miss the llama obstacle course!

Proceeds benefit United Against Lung Cancer’s national lunch cancer research grant program.
'Seussical' on Stage
Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, Westhampton Beach
All your favorite Dr. Seuss characters make an appearance in the family musical Seussical.
