The Kumon Math and Reading Center of the Upper West Side will show their support by hosting A Special Literacy Open House on Saturday, March 3 from 10am-2pm. Families are invited to attend and guests will receive a complimentary copy of Kumon's Recommended Reading List. There will be free literacy activities for children, while parents learn more about Kumon's reading and math programs. Kumon is also showing their commitment to children's literacy by partnering with Reading is Fundamental (RIF) to help bring books to all children in need across the U.S. For every enrollment during the month of March, Kumon will support literacy and make a donation to RIF. Open to families with children in grades 1-6 beginning Sunday, February 19 and continuing through Sunday, March 25, 2012. Storywalk instructions are available at the Children's Information Desk (The Compass) in The Trove. Participants must sign in there before proceeding on the walk.
