Grammy Award-nominated Matisyahu invites artists to spread messages of anti-bullying and self-empowerment by submitting their own covers of the song "Live Like a Warrior" on YouTube.

Grammy-nominated artist Matisyahu launched a “Live Like a Warrior—Stand For Change” YouTube campaign in partnership with music website Metrolyrics and Defeat The Label, a nonprofit that strives to promote an inclusive, judgement-free society.

The campaign, which will run throughout May, invites musicians to upload their own covers of Matisyahu’s “Live Like A Warrior” on YouTube to help spread the messages of anti-bullying and self-empowerment.

Matisyahu will choose one contest winner to join him on stage to sing “Live Like A Warrior” during an upcoming show when on a nationwide tour, beginning Aug. 7. The campaign also includes the #LiveLikeAWarrior initiative, spreading inspirational messages from Matisyahu across social media platforms.

Known for his innovative blend of reggae, rock, hip-hop, and traditional Jewish themes, Matisyahu has garnered critical acclaim and established an extensive fan base since his 2004 debut Shake off the Dust…Arise. His upcoming tour includes stops at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the Santa Barbara Bowl, and Central Park SummerStage in New York, which will be on Sept. 10.

Spark Seeker is Matishayu’s first album since he relocated from Crown Heights in Brooklyn to Los Angeles with his family in 2011, a year which also saw the singer shave his noteworthy beard.

The album followed the release of 2005’s Live at Stubb’s, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart, 2006’s Youth, which debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top 200 and reached No. 1 on the Reggae Albums chart and 2009’s Light, which was reached No. 1 on the Reggae Albums chart and stayed in the top spot for 34 weeks. Both Live at Stubbsand Youth were nominated for Grammy Awards for Best Reggae Album.
