Maestros in Concert featuring Pandit Shivkumar Sharma & Zakir Hussain - Town Hall

World Music Institute presents MAR 30, Saturday, 8pm Maestros in Concert featuring Pandit Shivkumar Sharma & Zakir Hussain Pandit Shivkumar Sharma and Zakir Hussain, the world's greatest performers on santoor and tabla respectively, are two legends of Indian music who have collaborated together since the 1980s. Sharma has enraptured audiences for over 50 years with his mastery of the santoor, a hammered dulcimer admired for its lush, shimmering sounds. A pioneering musician, he was responsible for developing the santoor into an important instrument in the North Indian classical repertoire. Hussain, whose dazzling rhythms have brought him to the forefront of Indian music, has achieved international fame with his inimitable performances. He is the favorite accompanist to India?s leading classical musicians and dancers and holds a prominent role in the world music movement. **Bring a Kid for $5!** Adults may bring children ages 16 & under for just $5. Disney Live! Mickey's Music Festival - The Theater at Madison Square Garden

Mickey Mouse and friends rock the world with the stars from The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Toy Story in their new tour show Disney Live! Mickey's Music Festival. Disney hits are remixed to the hottest sounds of today featuring hip-hop, pop, swing, reggae, rock, and country tunes. Your kids will be delighted with the all-star roster including Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Goofy, Ariel and Sebastian, Jasmine and Aladdin, and Woody and Buzz, just to name a few. There will be 25 characters total performing in this jam session fit for the entire family, and you won't be able to resist dancing, singing, and playing your air-guitar with this lively band of characters.

Jazz Kids! with Amy - 55 Bar
March 31, 2013 - West Village

At this interactive afternoon concert, kids ages 2-6 can play along and listen to kid-friendly jazz songs while learning a little bit about this music genre. Free snacks; beverages for kids and parents are available for purchase.

Gallery Stage: Interactive Show - 'Two Rivers, Two Cultures' - Hudson River Museum
March 31, 2013 - Yonkers

Sarah Lawrence College Theatre Outreach Program students, in costume, invite families to journey up the Hudson in a 20-minute performance they wrote for the exhibition The Panoramic River. An interactive adventure against a moving backdrop into early American and British cultures. The play stars a BOY who travels up the Hudson and meets an EXPLORER, Henry Hudson; an ARTIST, William Guy Wall; a Native American CHARACTER, Pukwudgie; and, a hungry SQUIRREL. Jokes, magic tricks, and audience involvement are all part of the fun. Appropriate for ages 6 and older.

Bello Mania - The New Victory Theater

Ringing Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents 'Built to Amaze!' - Barclays Center

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus presents 'Built To Amaze!' This show takes the audience through the stages of creating an actual circus. Andre McClain, ringmaster and "America's favorite cowboy," takes the Ringling Bros. reins and leads the show, accompanied by his horse Comanche. More than 110 of the world's best performers representing 17 countries along with 95 exotic and domestic animals will be assembled, creating never-before-seen, heart-pounding performances. Ringling Bros. is thrilled to introduce nine-time international award-winning comedic animal presenting duo Alex and Irina Emelin of Russia. Also new to Ringling Bros. is the Tower Tumblers, a troupe of competitive aerial athletes from the Ukraine who launch themselves from trampolines to scale and pass through a three-story-high translucent tower. Plus, the legendary King Charles Troupe, hailing from New York City, will perform a spirited game of basketball atop unicycles.

Comedy Magic Show - Broadway Comedy Club

Prepare yourself for an afternoon filled with mystery and amazement with a one-hour magic show at the legendary Broadway Comedy Club. The bi-weekly magic show will feature a rotating line up of talented magicians, including comedy magician Randy Masters. The comedy magic show combines sleight of hand, mind reading stunts, and plenty of audience participation. Suitable for all ages. Broadway Comedy Club hosts a bi-weekly Saturday afternoon magic show, suitable for the whole family! Performance dates: Feb. 2nd, Feb. 16th, March 2nd, March 16th, April 6th, and April 20th.

Figs, giant sunflowers, rosemary, peaches, and asparagus grow among many flowers and other plants in Vlada's Brooklyn community garden and she seems to possess a mysterious power for bringing cut Valentine roses back into bloom. Learn how to plant peppers, spot the first leaves of spinach poking through the soil, and grow a strawberry at your bedside, through stories, pictures, and song.

'The Intergalactic Nemesis' - The New Victory Theater

Meet Molly Sloan, a gutsy globe-trotting reporter, Mysterion the Magnificent, a villain obsessed with world domination, and Zygonians, sinister and smelly sludge monsters from outer space. These are just a few of the heroes and creepos you'll encounter in "The Intergalactic Nemesis," a sci-fi radio play for the comic book crowd. It's aliens, adventure, conspiracy, and intrigue on stage and on screen while three intrepid actors voice a cast of hundreds with all the campy melodrama they can muster as over 1,000 graphic novel panels loom large up above. Thwack! Wham! Zoinks! A Foley artist with hundreds of sound effect gizmos elevates the action.

Jazz for Kids - Jazz Standard

The Jazz Standard Youth Orchestra (JSYO), which includes about 25 talented musicians between the ages of 11 and 18, burns through jazz classics while listeners enjoys Blue Smoke's brunch menu (lunch menu, kids menu, and full bar are also available). Jazz Standard donates $1 from each kid's menu item sold to Spoons Across America.

'Pippin' - Music Box Theatre

Everything has its season, and this season, Pippin returns to Broadway for the first time since it first thrilled audiences 40 years ago!
