New York Music & Arts established in 2007 provides systematic professional music training in piano, strings, guitar, voice and all major instruments. The founders of the school believe everyone possesses the ability to create beautiful music, which is an invaluable tool for personal development. Everyone can create music with the NYMA faculty made up of Master’s and Ph. D Graduates of The Juilliard School. The school offers one-on-one private instrumental/voice lessons, as well as group classes for fundamental musical learning. NYMA makes its teachers available for all skill levels from the complete beginner to the more advanced. We thrive on giving our students the opportunity to perform offering more than 6 recital performances at locations such as Steinway Hall as well as a chance to perform in Carnegie Hall every year! As a NYSSMA member since 2007, NYMA specializes in getting your child ready for the NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) & ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) exams. Our faculty prepare students for these tests every year and have consistently gotten high grades.

Private Instrumental Lessons:
Our private lesson program offers highly individualized private lessons for all ages and skill levels. Each student is placed with one of our expert faculty members who tailor lessons to best fit each student's needs and desires. It is very helpful for students that prefer to concentrate on audition material (NYSSMA and ABRSM Exams) and competition material for all age levels (junior high, high school and college) In addition, we offer private lessons in composition, theory and solfege upon request.
In art class, students will learn basic painting and drawing skills through a variety of fun and exciting projects, such as collage, printmaking, and mask making. No matter what skill level, students of all age levels will find art class both enjoyable and expressive. Each year students will learn to master increasingly difficult skills in drawing and painting while receiving instruction from a professional artist.
After School Program:
NYMA’s after school program provides a unique creative learning environment with a full afternoon of art and music exploration. Offering music appreciation, instrument practice time, art class with various mediums of art, and homework time, NYMA provides a wealth of topics to keep kids excited and engaged.
