The Summer Art Adventure is a dynamic creative opportunity to be the artist youwant to be.  Here’s what you can expect from our art enrichment program

Every student will:

  • Work with dynamic certified art teachers and get individual attention
  • Be encouraged to try new art materials, learn about art history and develop art skills in drawing, painting and sculpture
  • Create art in a safe and supervised setting in the comfort of air conditioned studios
  • Display projects in an art show held for family and friends

Session 1: CREATIVE ODYSSEY- Art Inspired by Imagination

Draw Circus Scenes, Acrobats and Create Characters from Comics &
Imagination. Build Clay Sculptures from Storybooks, Invent a Puppet.

 Session 2: ANIMALS GALORE - Art Inspired by Animals
Mon. July 14 - Fri. July 18
Draw and Observe Live Animals, Create Animal Portraits, Sculpt Animals
Under the Sea, Create Endangered Animal prints and Animal Masks.

Session 3: ARTARAMA-Boost Artistic Skills, Draw, Paint & Sculpt
Mon. July 21- Fri. July 25
Learn New Techniques and Explore New Art Materials.
Learn from the Masters and grow as an artist

Session 4: GREEN GARDEN-Art inspired by Visions of Nature

Create Mixed Media Sculptures using Recyclables & Botanical Designs

 Early Childhood Program for ages 5-6
Morning session 9am -11:30am or Afternoon session 12 noon – 2:30 pm

Your child will love this hands-on experience making art by trying new processes and materials! Every week explore a different theme, join one to four weeks, choose AM or PM session. The art class is led by a dedicated early childhood specialist. Focus on age appropriate projects in a small group with an art assistant. As concepts are introduced, students are encouraged to express themselves and develop artistic skills. Each half day session includes two studio art activities and snack time.
Bring a snack and a smock.

Young Artists Program for ages 7-12
9am -2:00 pm

Explore a different theme in depth- join one or all weeks. Every week your child will draw, paint, sculpt and learn new techniques. Grouped by age, students will create two art projects daily. Each class is taught by experienced faculty and guest artists. In addition, each group is supervised by an art assistant who is with your child for the whole session. Draw, Paint and Sculpt new projects each week! This camp experience is creative, fun and memorable. Bring a bag lunch and all that you can imagine.
Dress to get messy and Register Early.

All Projects are subject to age-appropriateness and instructor availability.

Teen Program for ages 12-14
9:30am – 2:30 pm

Back by popular demand, this creative exploration designed for teens is fun and inspiring. 2 Studios per day taught by professional and experienced art faculty. Each group is also supervised by an art assistant. During lunch (student provided), enjoy supervised recreation time. Register Early. Limited Enrollment.

Develop fundamental skills drawing from observation. Learn the basics of color theory in paint. Sculpt using kiln-fired clay and glaze. Create Illustrations using ink, watercolors, and colored pencils. Sculpt in mixed media. (Program includes a field trip to Northport, parents provide transportation).

Teen Portfolio Program for ages 14-17

 Artist/Teacher Richard Ganes will lead serious and dedicated art students in a comprehensive exploration to develop artistic skills and creativity. Two sessions of portfolio preparation are full of projects that inspire. Students use a variety of 2D and 3D processes and media to create portfolio quality work. This offering is geared toward the art student who has a deep interest in art or intends to pursue art in college. Still Life, Portrait, Live Model Drawing, Sculpture with kiln-fired clay, Raku Firing, Paint on stretched Canvas, Create Art inspired by Live Music and more… College portfolio prep & Advanced Placement criteria will be presented.
