	Mom After-Hours Sophia Romero is the author of ALWAYS HIDING, a novel about illegal immigration published by William Morrow & Company, Inc. in 1998. Born and raised in Manila, the Philippines, Sophia was a journalist and a public relations executive for a major 5-star hotel before moving to New York City in 1986 where she met and married her husband, Dan Schwartz. The couple lived in Tokyo, Japan for three years where Sophia wrote for English-language publications and Dan worked in arbitrage for an investment company. They have two children: a boy, 16, and a girl, 11. The family pet is a dog named Roxy, who thinks she runs the roost of their Park Slope, Brooklyn home.
