Description: Preschoolers celebrate the Worldwide Day of Play by putting their physical abilities to the test. They can master leaping like a leopard, jumping like a frog, slithering like a snake, and wiggling like a worm. Then, they will come inside the Museum's art studio to design their own medal.
Venue Description: The Brooklyn Children's Museum was the first museum created specifically for children. Founded in 1899, the museum's model of youth-oriented exhibitions sparked the creation of similar institutions around the globe, and today the Brooklyn Children's Museum continues as a premier institution for children, its walls overflowing with imagination and wonder-filled learning experiences. The exhibits feature hands-on activities, role-playing opportunities, authentic museum specimens and artifacts, and hundreds of new things to discover about the arts, culture, science, and the environment.
