Description: Preschoolers listen to Ojibwa tales of how Asibikaashi, or Spider Woman, weaved her webs to catch bad dreams. They'll observe beautiful dreamcatchers from the Museum's collection, then decorate their own dreamcatcher to hang over their bed at night.
Venue Description: The Brooklyn Children's Museum was the first museum created specifically for children. Founded in 1899, the museum's model of youth-oriented exhibitions sparked the creation of similar institutions around the globe, and today the Brooklyn Children's Museum continues as a premier institution for children, its walls overflowing with imagination and wonder-filled learning experiences. The exhibits feature hands-on activities, role-playing opportunities, authentic museum specimens and artifacts, and hundreds of new things to discover about the arts, culture, science, and the environment.
