A Montessori Summer campers take special classes, swim two times a week, play in Prospect Park, and go on a trip once a week. Leif Ericson Day School's Summer Creative Arts and Music Program begins its 19th year of fun this June through the end of July. Children in pre-K to seventh grade enjoy computers, art, music, movement, and drama. Professional, caring staff and junior counselors are enthusiastic and attentive. Limited group size allows for a more fulfilling experience. All activities are on-site. Two snacks provided daily. SCAMP hours are 9am-3pm with "Early Bird" care (8am) and "Late Bird" care (5pm) for additional fees.

We offer eight weeks of exciting, well-rounded training in taekwondo, soccer, basketball, softball, and bowling. We also offer weekly safety and leadership, and fun, educational field trips. The NYU Summer Program for Kids is the only seven-week, therapeutic day program in the New York area for children ages 7-11 with ADHD. Our methods are grounded in the latest research, and our clinical psychologists continually evaluate the program to help each child. The focus of the program is to build self-esteem and help children develop attentional, organizational, and friendship skills. Clinical psychologists and qualified teachers supervise undergraduate and graduate-level counselors. Our staff-to-child ratio is 1 to 1.5. The program is directed by Karen Fleiss, Psy.D., a nationally renowned clinical psychologist and expert in the treatment of children with ADHD. Enrollment is limited.

At Piper, children ages 7–17 spend the month of July creating worlds of imagination and wonder at the Old Stone House and Washington Park. Under the guidance of our extraordinary teachers, students create full-scale productions performed at the end of each workshop. One- and two-week programs for Starlings, ages 7–11, vary from puppetry to improvisation, to Shakespeare. Four-week programs for students 11–17 include filmmaking, the musicals Blood Brothers and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Alice in Wonderland, Beastmaster, and King Lear, and Costume Design.

The Stage Theater School offers performing arts camps for children ages 4-16 . Campers receive daily workshops with Broadway artists from shows such as Hamilton, Wicked, The Lion King, Matilda, and Aladdin. Campers also work on a musical each week to perform for family and friends. This is an intensive and fun filled week of acting, singing, and dancing. Usdan Summer Camp of the Arts is the nation’s pre-eminent nonprofit arts day camp. TimeOut New York Kids declared Usdan a “Best Of” camp, and Usdan has been profiled in The New York Times and Time Magazine. Each day, 1,600 students, ages 6-18 years, travel to Usdan’s Wheatley Heights campus from all Long Island neighborhoods. Usdan offers 40 programs in music, art, theater, dance, writing, chess, and nature. Transportation to and from the camp is by air-conditioned buses. Three, four, or seven-week sessions are offered from June 27-August 12.
