Pumpkin picking is a perfect fall activity for families in the New York City area. Here you'll find our comprehensive list of pick-your-own pumpkin farms and pumpkin patches throughout the area, including NYC, Southeast New York, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

With Halloween on the horizon, October is the perfect month to take an adventure to the farms and fields for a little pick-your-own family fun. Spend a day in the pumpkin patch and bring home gourds small and large for painting, carving, and cooking. Many of the locations listed here also offer corn mazes, hayrides, and tons of other fall activities.

Decker Farm

Pumpkin picking through October. Self-guided tours and hayrides offered. Corn field on site. Free shuttle bus service available from the Historic Richmond Town parking lot to the farm. Admission: $5 per person or $16 for a family of four. Additional cost for pumpkins.

Pick your own pumpkins and apples through October. Golf courses on site. Statue of Liberty Corn Maze benefits American Cancer Society. Home of Connecticut’s largest indoor, year-round farmers market, open daily; call hotline for hours and fruit conditions.

Pick your own pumpkins through October, 10am-5pm daily. Weekdays ($4 admission): hay maze, corn maze, petting zoo. Weekends ($5 admission): hay maze, corn maze, petting zoo, hayrides, pony rides, face painting, games. Snacks and fall decorative items for sale.

Pick your own pumpkins through October. Farm stand with homegrown produce. Free hayrides. Open 10am-5:30pm daily.

Pick your own pumpkins in October, tractor-drawn hayrides, friendly barnyard animals, and a farm stand with pre-picked vegetables, cider, apples, gourds, Indian corn, maple syrup, maple candy, and gift items.


Wright’s Orchard and Dried Flower Farm
271 S. River Road, Tolland

Pick your own pumpkins and apples through October, 12:30-5:30pm Monday-Saturday; 1-5:30pm Sunday. Wright’s store with homegrown produce, apple cider and doughnuts, pies, and more on site. Dried flower and basket barn on site.
