About Our Unique Preschool Program:
Your child will experience a completely new way of learning in all dimensions.
Mozarts and Einsteins Preschool offers an exceptional preschool program with a strong emphasis on the arts. Students receive daily classes in reading, math, science, music, dance, and Spanish. “We’ve worked to create a very special place”, states owner Melody Stevens. “We wanted a school that not only had exceptional teachers, but small class sizes to insure that all students get individual help and attention”.
“Teaching children how to read & write is not enough“, says Stevens. “Our goal is to teach children how to learn. We want to stimulate their unique, creative ideas and talents by exposing them to a well-rounded program in music, art, drama, dance and academics.” Children also need to learn social and personal skills. The learning environment of the classroom offers opportunities for applying skills that promote cooperation, negotiation, leadership and teamwork, as well as physical fitness and motor skill development.
Quickly changing classes keep your preschool child engaged, learning and having fun!
The academic program is based on a thematic approach to curriculum which utilizes investigative learning to teach children how to think and problem solve. Melody says "Children are able to stay focused and involved as they move quickly through each subject". Class sizes are small with a 6/1 student/teacher ratio. Students may attend 2, 3, or 5 days per week.

This type of preschool is definitely not for everyone. The program is academic, rather than play based. As you wander through the school you see children actively participating in classroom lessons. There are children sitting at pianos wearing headphones in one room, kids tap dancing in another room, while others are sitting in circle time. The drama class is actively working on a puppet theatre production and the entire place is humming. The thing most noticeable is the small class sizes. Most of the classes have fewer than 12 kids with 2 teachers.
Our Reading, Math, Science and Spanish Curriculum
We use the Frog Street Press curriculum, which is widely considered to be the premier curriculum available for preschoolers, as our base for our reading, phonics, math, science and Spanish programs. However, we are set apart from other schools by the fact that our students receive so much more by combining the standard curriculum with classes in completely different areas such as fine arts that result in developing the whole child.
Your child will excel with the Frog Street Press Pre-k curriculum
The Frog Street program addresses the following:
- an extensive integration of theme, disciplines, and domains.
- special attention to social-emotional development.
- many levels and support of differentiated instruction.
- a joyful approach to learning.

Frog Street Preschool Program Overview
Each class begins with a Greeting Circle where the focus is building a sense of community. Children sing, perform a calming strategy (de-stressor), connect with classmates through fun activities, and commit to helping keep the classroom safe.
Greeting Circle is followed by a Moving and Learning activity where children sing, dance, or play games that relate to both program themes and lesson skills. Two suggested Read-Aloud activities each day foster the children's oral language and a sense of story. They are actively involved in thoughtful discussions and immersed in robust vocabulary. The activities represent both fiction and nonfiction, varied genres (narrative, prose, predictable), art styles and photography and include traditional and new pieces of literature. Beyond the theme-related books, there are additional libraries for literacy, math, science and social skills that also integrate instruction with the program themes and skills. The program includes a wealth of integrated listening stories, participation stories, and 34 story folders with props which enable children to re-enact the stories.
Literacy and math lessons are offered daily. Lessons are short, theme-related and filled with hands-on applications and meaningful context. They follow a continuum that ensures all children build foundation skills before they are expected to master more complex and challenging skills and concepts. Lessons spiral so that each time children return to a lesson concept or skill, they are able to expand their understanding.
Our Preschool program provides a rich classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore and are challenged to learn. Your preschooler will make new friends and develop self-confidence as he or she strengthens cognitive skills. Watch your child demonstrate new learning, and flourish in our stimulating classroom environment while having fun!
The curriculum is organized into theme-based units that address complex topics that encourage children to develop their skills and confidence. Each unit incorporates language, math, science, creative arts, music, motor skills and social development designed to empower preschoolers to be creative problem solvers and life-long learners.
