Description: There are more than 32,000 New York natives serving in the Air Force today with 1,500 of them serving overseas. Air Force Week New York City is a chance to Honor Hometown Heroes from all over the United States. Displays include military working dog demonstrations, the Air Force Academy Falconer, and science and technology displays with various Air Force bands performing throughout the celebration. You will also see the Air Force Project Supercars, the X-1 Mustang and the Vapor Challenger.
