Description: Blind mezzo-soprano Laurie Rubin will sing and share moving excerpts from her upcoming memoir Do You Dream in Color? Insights from a Girl without Sight, at Barge Music on Thursday, October 25 at 8 pm. Laurie, joined by pianist Marija Stroke, will perform selections from her recent Do You Dream in Color? album, along with Broadway and opera favorites. Making a special guest appearance will be composer, author, educator and performer Bruce Adolphe, who composed the title track of Rubin's CD, featuring original lyrics by Rubin. Rubin will autograph copies of her book and CDs following the performance.
