Description: The DiMenna Children's History Museum at the New-York Historical Society will host its first-ever Family Benefit Party, Passport Through American History, for children (4-14), parents and grandparents. Children will collect stamps in their historical passports by completing challenges and experiences, such as tasting food from New Amsterdam, discovering what a Civil War encampment looks like, and dressing up as a Newsie. Proceeds from the Family Benefit will help the Museum continue to provide an interactive, entertaining experience for children and families as young visitors learn by making discoveries about our ancestors who shaped the nation. Your support helps the DiMenna Children's History Museum and the New-York Historical Society care for a priceless collection, made fully accessible to the public, and provides our education programs with the resources to serve over 200,000 New York City public school students in both on-site and in-school programming each year, and thousands of teacher Professional Development training we provide throughout the year.
