kids on nature hikeAll around Connecticut, new shoots are making their way out of the ground and trees are about to burst with color. There are a variety of places around Fairfield County offering the best of what spring has to offer, from outdoor activities to sweet and colorful treats:


April 7

The Stamford Museum and Nature Center hosts Excellent Eggs at Overbrook from 10am-1pm, a program that teaches kids why bird eggs come in different shapes and colors and offers a class where you can meet a chicken, a snake, and more egg-laying animals. Click for details


Beginner and intermediate bakers are invited to Spring Boutique Cupcakes at CakeSuite in Westport where they can bake one dozen mini cupcakes and learn to decorate them with edible flowers for Easter or any spring gathering. Click for details
