Workshop I - Filmmaking - Make a Movie That Tells a Story - ages 13 - 17

July 6 through July 30, Monday through Friday (except July 5), 10am - 3pm.

Participants will collectively conceive of, write a script for, shoot, direct and edit a short dramatic film (using state of the art video equipment, editing and scriptwriting software). Workshop will be held at LMC-TV's Studio One at Mamaroneck High School.

Instructor: Dena Schumacher, independent filmmaker and LMC-TV Studio Coordinator.

Four weeks - $1200

Workshop II - Broadcast News - ages 13 - 17

August 2 through August 20, Monday through Friday, 10am - 3pm.

Participants will learn broadcast news production by creating a news show about community news and features about their lives and the lives of their neighbors. Participants will learn news writing, assignment editing, videography for news, field sound production, video editing for news, studio production and more. A field trip to a local news station will augment the workshops practice. Workshop will be held at LMC-TV's Studio One at Mamaroneck High School.
