New Canaan Nature Center Summer Camp
Treat your child age 2-15 to a unique and action-packed summer experience! Our counselors and naturalists create age-appropriate opportunities to explore, investigate, and discover the natural world while building friendships through fun, creative activities. Each session revolves around a different theme that's brought to life through games, experiments, projects, and activities. Kids become immersed in a wonderland of ponds, meadows, marsh and forest throughout our 40-acre sanctuary. Budding scientists uncover the mysteries of the natural world while adventure-seekers learn survival skills and feel the exhilaration of outdoor recreation. Visit for information and to register. Register by March 13th and save.

The only place to take summer in is...outside! Our action-packed Summer Camp (ages 3-7) emphasizes fun, hands-on experiences that give your child an opportunity to simply "be a kid," while exploring nature's marvels and making friends. Adventure Camp (ages 8-15) offers older campers engaging and unique outdoor activities, paddling and hiking, team challenges and experiments, plus campfire dinners, off-site field visits, and overnight camping excursions. Weekly camp-wide themes inspire adventure at age-appropriate levels amidst our 40 acres of ponds, fields, and forest. Camp runs June 6-Aug. 19. Visit our website for information and registration.

Meet the Camp Director

Geoff McCann is the new summer camp director at the New Canaan Nature Center. During the school year he also serves at the Education Programs manager for the Nature Center. Geoff is an avid outdoorsman and brings extensive knowledge and experience of environmental education to the popular camp program for 3-15 year olds. He has 8 years of camp experience, most recently at Trailside Discovery Camp in Anchorage, Alaska. This summer, the Nature Center's resident naturalists will work on a regular weekly basis with each camper group to provide intensive and exciting activities and lessons that will captivate, inspire and dazzle your child!
