Families are welcome to register for as little as 16 hours per week or for our full time program that provides child care during any of our hours of operation.
Our dynamic program exceeds state licensing requirements and provides your child with academic support while encouraging social interaction and physical development. Our entire Farmingdale staff are trained teachers and child care providers, certified to administer First Aid and CPR to children and adults. Prime Time of Farmingdale is open Monday-Friday from 6:30 am-7:00 pm
Prime Connections is a child-centered curriculum places the child’s interests, skills and communication at the center of activity planning. Through thoughtful planning within the structure of the classroom layout and daily routine, teachers provoke interest among the children, engaging the whole child – physical and mental, emotional and cognitive – in opportunities designed to stimulate academic learning and pro-social behavior.
Teachers plan and implement these activities, then observe how the children engage, respond, talk and extend their own learning. Through observation, note-taking and taking photos, teachers create a record of each child’s choices, processes and accomplishments. Using these records to reflect on the children’s general interests and excitement for learning, the teachers may plan the next unit’s lessons and activities
Our Prime Connections curriculum is our exceptional approach to building firm foundations and equipping young children with the necessary tools for a lifetime love of learning and future school success.
Prime Time of Farmingdale is open Monday-Friday from 6:30 am-7:00 pm.
Infants: 6 weeks to 12 Months
Our loving caregivers make sure your baby’s awake time is spent out of the crib where stretching, pushing and pulling, sights and sounds, cuddling and touching help them learn about their bodies and their world. Parents are always welcome to come in to visit their babies, and to call us at any time to check in.Learn More
Infants: 12 – 18 Months
Under the watchful eyes of our specially trained staff, older babies start to master their bodies and their environment as they roll about, crawl, sit up and walk. Our Prime Time caregivers actively interact with babies by teaching them songs and words, lessons of cause and effect, and safe interaction with the world around them.Learn More
Toddlers: 18 months – 3 years
Walking, talking, socializing, alternating between independence and dependence, curiosity and lots of energy are the marks of toddlers. This age group is often messy as they learn to feed themselves, use the potty, and indulge their artistic creativity—all things we celebrate and encourage at Prime Time. We help young toddlers learn boundaries and control without discouraging their innate love of life.Learn More
3 Year Olds
This age marks the transition from toddler to preschooler. By age three, children have mastered most physical skills and begin to develop socially with peers in cooperative—and often more focused—play. These active, hands-on learners become expressive, social members of a group. In-class learning centers and small group instruction offer an environment rich with opportunities for young children to grow and develop.Learn More
4 Year Olds
Prime Time’s Pre-Kindergarten curriculum is based on the theory that young children learn through active exploration of their environment. Our focus is to develop the whole child through a broad array of learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate and provide the foundation skills necessary for future school success. Our teachers work with each student on social, cognitive and motor skills; language, and phonics. Each classroom is equipped with education stations and computers.Learn More
If you think Prime Time is a great childcare center, wait until you see our Summer Day Camp!Learn More
Our Farmingdale Summer Camp offers children the same benefits of the large outdoor camps, but with the safety and security of our year-round childcare facility right in your back yard. When the children are not out at the pool or exploring a museum, they are engaged in age-appropriate camp room activities that pick up where the schools left off at the end of June.Learn More
Each camp week provides a theme for summer learning incorporating music, arts and crafts, special guest presenters, and plenty of outdoor experiences and water play.Learn More

“As a new parents we were very anxious and apprehensive about choosing the right daycare for our son. We wanted to make sure we made the right choice. We can now say that we feel we have absolutely made the right choice in choosing Prime Time. They have made this transition so much easier for us! The staff has been caring, flexible and are always willing to answer our questions. You can tell they care for each baby and the work they do!! We are happy and feel safe when we leave our little one in their hands everyday, what more could we ask for?!?”
“Nothing but great things to say about Prime Time. My wife and I instantly decided Prime Time was the place to take our child mainly because of the atmosphere. They made the initial transition period go as smooth as possible for her and us! At Prime Time we felt as if more care and attention would be given to our child as opposed to the other larger childcare places around i.e.. Tutor Time. Our daughter is treated like one of their own which is very reassuring for us as parents. The staff is all very kind and accommodating as well. Many of them go above and beyond to ensure nothing but the best for the children who attend the day care and comfort and a piece of mind for the parents. I'd recommend Prime Time to any of my friends and family.”
“This is the first year my 14 months twins were enrolled in a day care. I love this place! The staff and teachers are super nice, and you can tell right away how much they love the kids. I definitely recommend this daycare to anyone! When my children go there I know that they are safe and having fun!”
“Our daughter has been going to Prime Time since she was 2 years old. The staff has always been more than accommodating with anything we needed. The staff is the most caring and wonderful staff! Everyone there knows the children, not only in their classrooms, but in the school! The activities that they have for the children are fun and educational! We definitely feel our daughter is more than ready for kindergarten!! We would recommend this school to anyone that we know! We are going to miss them all!!”
“Let me start by saying if your looking for a really good daycare with absolute priceless teachers Prime Time is the best choice. my son is in the lions class for a little over a year now. The teachers are so kind, friendly, educated, and attentive to my son. From day one the staff has gone above and beyond to make Brandon feel comfortable. When I have a question they get back to me quickly. There is no one I wouldn't recommend primetime to. I thank them all for taking good care of my son. Thank you Prime Time.”
