The Youth Bureau is a public planning, funding, advocacy, and coordinating agency for youth and family programs in Rockland County. The Youth Bureau also administers the Rockland County AmeriCorps Program, Youth Employment Program, and BRIDGES Academy. It oversees Project Turning Point, the county’s runaway and homeless youth program, and is responsible for maintaining current information on youth needs, helping enhance communication and collaboration among youth service agencies, and allocating state funds. The Bureau also supports a variety of contract programs designed to provide quality, comprehensive services to Rockland's children and youth.
