Description: Have you wondered why Google's founders Larry Page and Sergei Brin, Amazon's Jeff Bezos, and other great movers and shakers attribute their success to their Montessori pre-school programs? What makes the Montessori toddler classroom different from a traditional classroom? Why are Montessori children engaged in independent work for so long? Why is play called work at Park West Montessori? How does the Montessori prepared environment help children learn in a way that fosters happy, independent life-long learners?
Parents can learn the answers to these and other questions during the "Montessori Mornings" at which they and their child can explore a toddler classroom at Park West. Toddler teachers, education director, and admission director will be present to discuss the Montessori philosophy as it pertains to toddlers and help parents experience first hand the gifts of Montessori.
The "Montessori Mornings" will take place at 10:15am on July 12, July 17, and July 24 and are open to toddlers between the ages of 18 months and 2.7 years by September 1, 2012. Central Park Montessori has programs for infants and early childhood (3-months to 6-years) and is one of a three-school community on the Upper West Side.
Twin Parks is the largest accredited Montessori program in Manhattan and the only infant toddler program in New York State to be accredited by both the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools (MSCES). Twin Parks is a member of the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS), the Independent School Admission Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY), and the Parents League, as well as an affiliate school of Columbia University.
