Description: Speed, shotmaking and competitive fire will all be on display when some of the world's greatest squash players return to Grand Central Terminal for the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions, January 20-26. The only sports championship hosted annually in Grand Central Terminal, the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions is one of the most coveted titles in professional squash.
The tournament's four-walled glass court under the glittering chandelier in Vanderbilt Hall was recently named by Yahoo as one of the top ten most unusual sports venues in the world.
The 2012 J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions features a 32-player main draw and a 32-player qualification tournament for the men and a 16-player main draw and a 16-player qualification for the women. The combination of the perennial sold-out stadium seating and the public viewing available on the front wall by what is expected to be more than 200,000 Grand Central commuters during tournament week makes the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions the largest squash spectator event in the world.
