Description: Based on the book The Lonely Phone Booth by Peter Ackerman, and inspired by one of the last remaining fully enclosed phone booths in Manhattan (at 100th and West End Avenue) this fantasy tale explores the story of an old friend who is forgotten then rediscovered.
Venue Description: Manhattan Children's Theatre (MCT) opened its doors in Tribeca in 2002. Since then, it has been committed to providing affordable theatrical experiences for children and their families. MCT performances reflect the stories of classic children's literature as well as timely new work and aim to educate as well as entertain. MCT offers several educational programs during the school year for children of all ages, including Storytellers and Playmakers classes for kindergarteners and preschoolers, Creative Drama classes for children in grades 1-2, Beginning Acting classes for grades 3-5, and a Performance Conservatory for grades 5 and up. In addition, MCT's Summer Stars Summer Camp for ages 4-7 incorporates music, movement, and games to promote education and improve performance skills. Youth birthday party packages are available in three options: A Show & A Party, An Acting Class & A Party, and An Acting Class at your venue.
