Description: To celebrate the diversity of New York City, Children?s Museum of the Arts presents its sixth annual series of Multicultural Festivals, each celebrating the artistic and cultural traditions of different communities. During the month of January, the Asian American Festival will feature live music, lion dance and ribbon dance performances, theater, and storytelling performances, a hula performance and workshop, and hands-on workshops that highlight Asian American culture. There will also be temporary exhibits of relevant art and artifacts from Asian American communities.

Venue Description: The Children's Museum of the Arts, founded in 1988, is one of the oldest children's art museums in the world. The museum encourages self-expression and self-esteem in kids through the visual and performing arts and hands-on art programs. Visitors can interact with changing exhibitions of children's art and make their own art, guided by highly skilled professional artists. The museum also offers regular art workshops and hosts children's birthday parties.
