Description: The Nova Philharmonic launches its Young Artists Festival at the famed Merkin Concert Hall by performing some legendary concertos by Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, and others. Aspiring young soloists will perform with one of Manhattan's finest orchestras, led by visionary conductor Dong-hyun Kim, and the public will be able to glimpse into the future of classical music. This event is sponsored by the Korea Times and profits from ticket sales will be donated to a handicapped youth center in New York.

In addition to cutting-edge new music, Merkin Concert Hall presents some of the best new talents in the classical world, celebrations of musical theater with Broadway's top professionals, and lively musical reviews for children and families. Programs for children include the Broadway Playhouse series, which introduces classic Broadway musicals to a new generation of musical theater fans, and Musical Adventures with the Poppy Seed Players -- musical plays for families about the great Jewish heritage. Other signature series include Broadway Close Up, Tuesday Matinees, the Ecstatic Music Festival, the New York Guitar Festival, New York Festival of Song and New Sounds Live hosted by WNYC's John Schaefer.
