A ‘BID’ for Winter - Manhattan

  |  Holiday Activities

The Upper West Side will be transformed into the city’s largest holiday party when The Ninth Annual Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square returns.  The evening kicks off with a tree lighting at Dante Park by Grandma from the Big Apple Circus, with Kevin Bacon and the Bacon Brothers set to perform as the headlining act. Over 20 of the area’s restaurants will offer outdoor food samples, while dozens of stores and cultural venues throughout the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (BID) provide additional activities and performances, including craft making, a reggae children’s dance party with Father Goose, and African percussion with Drum Café.  Families are asked to bring canned goods for the City Harvest Food Drive. December 1. 5:30pm. Free entertainment and activities. Along Broadway from Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle to West 68th Street, Manhattan. 212-581-7762. www.WintersEve.org.
