The NYMetroParents blogroll features the best blogs in the parenting world, from New York and beyond. Here's a closer look at why we love these mom bloggers and dad bloggers and how they're shaping the web for parenting today.

Blogging from: Manhattan

A major techie dad extraordinaire, Adam Cohen of DaDa Rocks is a modern father raising his family in Manhattan. Whether it’s his job (director of marketing and social media) or of his family, he writes advice pieces on a whole range of topics and also reviews products for the family and gagdet lover. DaDa Rocks isn’t just limited to raising a young child in Manhattan — it also has content for parents with toddlers, teenagers, and college-aged students.

Besides a tech expert, Cohen is also a New York City pro. Born and raised in Manhattan, he is now raising his own family in the city and brings his depth of knowledge of the ins and outs of the borough. He offers great places to eat, whether it’s with your entire family or just you and your spouse, married couples will find plenty of good recommendations. He also creatively weaves free giveaways into some of his editorial pieces, which is a great way for parents to learn about a topic and try to score some swag at the same time. Cohen recently added a travel dimension to his blog, posting about family friendly getaways. In light of Internet domination, his blog also has plenty of advice on protecting your family from identity theft. — Gordon Rago
