Want your kids to learn something new while having fun? Visit one of these fun and educational activities that are family-friendly in Manhattan in April, including The Hunger Games: The Exhibition at Discovery Times Square, college essay writing in Midtown, and Family Fridays at MoMath.

Shinique Smith: Secret Garden Laughing Place

WHAT: Part labyrinth, part abstract painting, children are encouraged to crawl inside and engage physically with this vibrant installation by artist Shinique Smith.

WHAT: Every month the Intrepid runs family programs to help families make the most of their trip to the museum. In April, explore paper planes and flying underwater.

WHAT: A brand new exhibition which will give you a chance to get up close to one of the largest collections of mummies housed in North America. Featuring mummies from ancient Egypt to pre-Columbian Peru. The exhibit uses high-resolution CT scans and forensic reconstructions so visitors can "see" what's inside as well as out.
