SUMMER FUN – PROGRAMS & CLASSES – PRINT GUIDE
Pono’s summer camp for ages 5-8, is a joyful experience based on the philosophy of Scandinavian Outdoor Schools, where children spend much of their time outside in nature. At Pono, children suggest and agree upon their own curriculum, including the locations of ecological adventures in and around NYC. "Pono,” meaning "oneness,” infuses all we do. Personal development and participation in a community of kindness, respect, and inclusion are essential. A range of visiting teachers from a variety of fields and professions offer inspired, non-compulsory lessons built around student requests. July 14-Sep. 11. Mon.-Thurs., 9am-2pm.
