Description: "The King of the High Cs" was one of the dominant and most popular tenors in world opera from his debut in 1961 well into the 1990s and even a bit later. Often specializing in bel canto roles he was memorable as Rodolfo in La Bohème, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Alfredo in La Traviata, among other roles. This presentation will examine some highlights of Pavarotti's career through audio and video excerpts.
