Description: Children ages 5 and up are invited to participate in the Rock Hall Children's Summer Workshop Series. Totem poles were used as a form of storytelling. Totems were usually carved from cedar trees by Native Americans in the Northwest part of the country. Children will learn about this historic method of art and will then create a totem of their own using recycled materials. Rain or shine.
Fee-$15 per child for the Totem Pole Workshop; $40 per child for all three workshops.
Materials included. Space limited. Reservations required and are only confirmed with receipt of full payment. Please contact the museum office at (516) 239-1157 to make reservations.
