    The Great Jack O' Lantern Blaze

       See a spinning UFO, a beehive with bumblebees, giant sunflowers, and a replica of Henry Hudson's Half Moon, along with 4,000 jacks fused together in enormous and elaborate constructions, all lit up throughout the wooded walkways, orchards, and gardens of the historic Van Cortlandt Manor. October 3, 4, 10-12, 7pm; October 16-18, 22-25, 28, 6:30pm. All ages. $15; $10 ages 5-17, FREE children under 5.     Halloween Show

       See the huge "Eerie Railroad" Lionel train display surrounding the House on Haunted Hill, and Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors' in a spooky flower shop recreated from the show. Tributes to Hollywood botanical monsters and special seasonal artworks will also be on display. October 17-18, 24-25, 31, 11am-4pm. $5; $2 children over 2. FREE under 2.     11th Annual Scarecrow Festival

       Create and take home your own life-size scarecrow. Plus, face painters, music, and food. Proceeds benefit the White Plains Hospital Center. October 18, beginning at 10am. All ages. $35. Kids' B.A.S.E., 307 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale. 914-681-2440.
