Description: Through dozens of playground elements including slides and seesaws, people of all ages and abilities explore the scientific principles of motion, balance, sound, sight and simple machines, as well as sun, wind and water in this 60,000 square-foot-playground.

Venue Description: The best way for kids to learn is through fun, and the New York Hall of Science offers just that. The museum is a science and technology center featuring more than 400 hands-on exhibits focused on biology, chemistry, and physics. There are 15 themes throughout the Hall appropriate for tots to teens. Select activities like the Rocket Park, a rocket simulator surrounded by interpretive panels and climb-in capsule, and the Science Playground, furnished with a water play area and giant slides, are located outdoors and can be enjoyed during the warmer months of the year. Indoor exhibits like The World of Microbes, the nation?s largest interactive microbiology exhibition, The Sports Challenge, where athletes can put their skills to scientific testing, and Preschool Place, complete with a multi-ethnic market and two-story cityscape, can be experienced year-round. Private events hosted by the Hall of Science include science parties (Super Science) and Scout programs arranged for children interested in experiencing science with their friends and family. Additional extracurricular activities include afterschool programs, science clubs, and the Science Technology Library.
