Description: Devoted to Jim Dine’s Pinocchio book, the museum's second floor has an impressive Pinocchio series, compiled as illustrations to a translation of Carlo Collodi’s original tale. Some 40 lithographs, each approximately 20 x 17 inches are included. Dine expresses his connection to Pinocchio, dedicating his works to the adventurous wooden boy, saying,"His poor burned feet, his misguided judgment, his vanity about his temporary donkey ears all add up to the real sum of his parts. In the end it is his great heart that holds me." The exhibit runs through July 8, 2012.
