Description: In it's nineteenth year, the Union Square Holiday Market is a New York institution, and draws hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the globe. Famous for its distinctive red and white tents and ebullient atmosphere, visitors flock to Union Square every holiday season in search of superior local products and unparalleled local cuisine. What's new this year? -There are more food vendors than ever, including Momofuku Milk Bar, Sigmund's Pretzels, Mayhem & Stout, Wafels & Dinges, Mighty Balls, Hong Kong Street Cart, La Sonrisa Empanadas and many more -The food vendors will offer delivery to local businesses and residences via SeamlessWeb -There will be a "Little Brooklyn" section of the market, highlighting local, handmade goods from Brooklyn, NY -There is a larger diversity of retail goods than ever before -UrbanSpace will be hosting a group of carolers each week to add seasonal flair -Visitors can download a free iPhone app called "Here" which includes an interactive map of the market, vendor descriptions and even discounts and deals -To aid our fellow New Yorkers (and neighbors) devastated by Hurricane Sandy, UrbanSpace will have a donation basket in the information booth; all proceeds with benefit the American Red Cross. Many vendors will be donating percentages of their proceeds as well.
