Description: American guitarist Jimmy Herring is a musician's musician. The North Carolina native has been playing guitar for close to 40 years and exhibits signs that he's just getting started. A staple in the jazz fusion and jam band scene, his playing style melds the influences of Jimi Hendrix's raw emotion, the twang of Steve Morse, and the flowing phrases of jazz legends Charlie Parker and John Coltrane. Herring was the founding member of seminal band Col. Bruce Hampton and The Aquarium Rescue Unit. In 1997 he cofounded Frogwings, after which he joined Jazz is Dead. He has also enjoyed tenures with the legendary Phil Lesh, The Other Ones, his experimental trio Project Z, and Widespread Panic, with which he continues to perform to this day. Wayne Krantz - Guitar:A Fiery fusion guitarist. Krantz is an excellent multi-dimensional player, as likely to rock like Hendrix, or play duets with Leni Stern. He has played with top artists such as Steely Dan, Michael Brecker, Billy Cobham, and others. Michael Landau - Guitar:Michael Landau is a prolific session musician and guitarist who has played on a large number of albums since the early 1980s with artists as varied as Joni Mitchell, Seal, Michael Jackson, James Taylor, Helen Watson, Richard Marx, Steve Perry, Pink Floyd and Miles Davis. Keith Carlock - Drums:Keith Carlock is a professional drummer currently residing in New York City, NY and Nashville, TN. He has recorded and/or toured with musical luminaries from John Mayer and Sting to Steely Dan and Diana Ross. Keith was voted number 1 Pop drummer, number 1 Fusion drummer, and number 1 Best All-Around drummer in Modern Drummer's 2009 Readers Poll Etienne Mbappe - Bass:"ATN" - as his friends call him - is nothing but a famous and exceptionally talented bass player. His bass playing transcends the boundaries between Jazz, Fusion/Funk, Rock, and African Sounds. Best known for his years with the Zawinul Syndicate, ATN has also toured with Steps Ahead, Ray Lema and Mayra Andrade and played on Ray Charles last album.
