Description: Aldo Pili's landscape paintings will be shown in the Oresman Gallery at the Larchmont Public Library from February 2 to February 27. The show entitled "My Two Worlds" captures the love for his two worlds, Italy where he grew up, and his life here in Larchmont, New York. He has participated in collective exhibits at the Flatiron Gallery in Peekskill, New York. This show is special to Aldo Pili because it is the first exhibit featuring his paintings and it will be in his hometown. After a career in business, Pili decided to pursue his passion for painting. He began studying oil painting in Florence, Italy, and later in Westchester County, New York with renowned artist Andrew Lattimore. Aldo Pili has been painting for twenty years. His main artistic influence comes from Macchiaioli, a Tuscan painting school of the late 1800s, which is regarded by some as a forerunner of the Impressionists. His paintings are done in oil and most of them are 'en plein air.'
