Hartsdale, NY 15030
Description: Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is offering a 12-session evidence-based Parent Management Training (PMT) Group for parents of children with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. The group will meet Tuesday mornings (March 5 through May 28) from 9:30-11:30am at WJCS, 141 North Central Avenue, Hartsdale. Developed by Dr. Alan Kazdin at YaleChildStudyCenter, PMT has been shown effective in decreasing oppositional, anti-social, and challenging behavior. Parents learn new ways to understand their child's behavior, and practice skills and techniques for effectively handling problem behavior. Interested parents should contact Norma Litman, LCSW, at 914 949-7699 x408 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
