Description: Featuring the vibrant works of renowned artist Michael Katz. A portion of all sales will benefit Tibet House US and its ongoing work to preserve and present Tibetan culture. Michael Katz is a celebrated writer, doctor, and visual artist based in New York City. Form Is Emptiness, his first exhibit for the Tibet House US, is an impressive display of his abstract expressionist work. Working with acrylic and mixed media, Katz skillfully combines fragments into cohesive and dynamic images full of color and depth. Each piece is reflective of the energy and layers of the Buddhist journey, communicating a sense of possibility, freedom, and spontaneity. In addition to the influence of Buddhism, Katz' artwork is inspired by music, yoga, dance, and particularly his career as a psychologist. Known for his dream workshops, as well as authoring two books on the subject, the connection between his art and psychology is, as the artist says, "just there. My paintings are an amalgamation of who I am."
