Description: The Grammy-nominated team DEORO comes to Lincoln Center with an innovative program of music, dance, martial arts, and video that grew out of three years of travel to the Philippines and collaborations with traditional and urban artists and musicians, in remote Mindanao and in Manila, respectively. Fusing their unique style of classical groove with the thousands year old local traditions of tribal music, DEORO's Dave Eggar and Chuck Palmer also explored the edgy, urban sounds produced by of some of the country's best-known young artists. The recording DEOROXX was the result. At the Atrium, Eggar and Palmer will be joined by Waway Saway, musical leader of the Talaandig tribe; Daniel Darwin, winner of the X Factor Philippines; feminist rapper Nyko Maca; and tribal singer Jonan Aguilar, among others. Video is by the DLP. Choreography by Attack Theatre.
